Chocolate lovers, listen up! The Second Annual Caputo’s Chocolate Festival is coming up on November 14th. This year the star of the evening is Ritual Chocolate, one of the finest chocolate makers in the world, showcased by four teams of Utah’s best chefs, who will create sweet and savory dishes using the chocolate.
Each team of chefs will use one type of Ritual Chocolate for their dish. The Costa Rica team includes Naked Fish chefs with Viet Pham of Forage/Ember+Ash, the Belize team is Ryan Lowder of Copper Onion, the Balao team is Carter Light and Serge Smith of Silver Restaurant and the Madagascar team is Leslie Seggar of Tulie Bakery.
The dishes will be paired with beverages from High West Distillery, Epic Brewery, Libation Inc./Francis Fecteau and Charming Beard Coffee. The founders of Ritual, Robbie Stout and Anna Davies, will also be there to talk about their products.
All proceeds will be donated to the Heirloom Cacoa Preservation Program to protect threatened heirloom strains of cacoa in their native growing regions.
