Last week my friend Amanda and I threw a wine and cheese party as a collaboration with her DIY blog Design Loves Detail. We focused on sparkling wine and cheese from around the world, tasting wines from Italy, Spain, Tasmania, Sonoma and France paired with cheese from each region. It was so much fun!
I wrote a post on how to throw a wine and cheese pairing party on the Design Loves Detail blog, so head over there to read the whole thing. The post is a how-to for any wine and cheese party, plus has ideas for several different themes and the details about the pairings we enjoyed. Even if you don’t intend to throw a party, our pairings are definitely worth replicating!
I was in charge of the wine and cheese pairings and doing researching for tasting notes and fact sheets for our guests. Luckily I had the help of my friend Jess of Beehive Cheese to help pick out the cheese, otherwise I would have been totally lost!
Amanda, who owns Branches Event Floral, supplied her genius talents with the decor and her partner Mollie provided the graphic design expertise for the menus, while the amazing Sarah Knight captured everything behind the camera. Laurin of Veritas Funding sponsored the event and let us host the party at her beautiful office.
Enjoying wine and cheese with friends is one of my favorite things to do. I can’t wait to do it again. Click here to see the Wine and Cheese Party on Design Loves Detail.
A special thanks to Amanda for putting together an amazing party, to Laurin for graciously sponsoring the event and supplying the space, to Jess for her perfect pairings, and to all my lovely friends who attended for not only helping to set up but for being there to help us enjoy the wine and cheese!
